Talkeetna, located at the confluence of the Susitna, Chulitna, and Talkeetna Rivers, was historically an Athabascan Indian camp. It became a central supply hub for prospectors and trappers in the early 1900’s. Today thousands of visitors, climbers and adventurers came through Talkeetna on their way to Denali and the Alaskan wilderness.
